Rapper Speed Darlington, whose real name is Darlington Okoye, has shared that he has been arrested 19 times and detained five times.
He posted a freestyle video on social media where he mentioned these incidents, stating that he often gets into trouble despite knowing better.
In the video, he raps about his experiences, mentioning 5 detentions and 19 arrests.
His recent legal troubles include being arrested twice in late 2024 after making controversial remarks about Burna Boy’s connection with music executive Sean Combs.
Darlington was held at the Kuje Correctional Facility and later released on January 21, 2025, after receiving bail from a Federal High Court in Abuja.
A few days after his release, Darlington claimed on social media that he narrowly avoided an assassination attempt while leaving a club in Lagos.
