How to Access Your 2025 UTME Result – Step-by-Step Instructions

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has released the results of the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), with statistics showing a majority of candidates scoring below the 200 mark.

According to data published on Monday, only 420,415 of the 1,955,069 candidates scored above 200, meaning approximately 75% of the participants failed to cross that benchmark. Furthermore, fewer than 1% managed to achieve a score higher than 300.

The report also noted that 40,247 underage candidates were granted permission to sit for the exam in order to showcase their academic potential. However, only 467 of them—about 1.16%—met the threshold set for exceptional performance. These candidates will face further assessments in three additional phases.
