How NGO Empowered Women in Ode-Aye in Ondo with Sewing Machines, Others

A Non-Governmental Initiative, Fold for Liberal Age Charity Initiative (FOLIAGE) on Saturday, empowered women in Ode-Aye, with multipurpose machines, such sewing and grinding machines, clothing materials and financial assistance.

The charitable event which took place in Ode Aye community of Okitipupa LGA of Ondo State puts smiles on the faces of the beneficiaries as the materials were being distributed by the Founder of the organisation, Femi Ayejusunle.

In his words, Ayejusunle spoke on the purpose behind the motive saying “this NGO is founded to empower individuals through training and materials support; sponsorship of society and human resources development oriented programmes; campaign against ozone layer depletion among others. So, empowering these women is one of the major focuses of the organisation. These gifts will encourage these women to improve their livelihoods and self-sufficiency.”

He continues, “The NGO usually carries out routine checks of the business performances of the beneficiaries of our kind gesture in order to guide, and possibly, give support to enlarge the businesses.”

Ayejusunle, also highlighted other charitable projects of the organisation including: COVID-19 Sensitisation project in Akure metropolis in 2020; COVID-19 outreach at Idi Uta, Akure with the distribution of nose masks and sanitizers to residents; Young Tennis Clinic in Akure Stadium in 2021 where tennis kits and other materials were given out to encourage young tennis players in Ondo State.

Foliage is a non-governmental organization founded over four years ago with numerous charitable projects carried out within Ondo state.
