How economic hardship forced me to stop using my private jet – Senator Kalu

Abia North senator, Orji Uzor-Kalu, has revealed why he stopped using his private jet.

In a video making the rounds on social media, the senator explained that the current economic hardship forced him to stop using the jet.

Lamenting the difficulties in fueling the jet, the former Abia State governor said he has opted for commercial flights.

He added that he has contracted out the private jet to an oil company.

Kalu said he stopped using the private jet since August this year, apparently due to hike in the price of aviation fuel, otherwise known as Jet A1.

“Buying fuel and all of the rest… I don’t need to explain to you. For now, I have grounded the private jet to do some other businesses for oil companies. I want to maintain that.

“There is a commercial plane that was scheduled and I will use them to the glory of God,” he added.
