How Court validated Starnews report, stopped Ganduje from overseeing Ondo’s election, others

A court ruling has affirmed the authenticity of a report by Starnews NG, resulting in a prohibition against a former Governor of Kano State, Abdullahi Ganduje, from assuming the role of APC chairman in Ondo 2024 governorship election.

The state high Court in Kano affirmed the suspension of the National Chairman of the All Progressive Congress, APC, Dr. Ganduje as member of the party on Wednesday.

As a consequence of the court’s ruling, the former Governor’s authority to oversee the Ondo APC governorship primary, scheduled for Saturday, April 20, 2024, has been rescinded.

Starnews NG had reported on Tuesday that a fresh crisis brewing in the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) may debar the National Chairman of the party, Alh. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje from overseeing the gubernatorial primary election in Ondo State.

Subsequently, the court ordered, that henceforth, Ganduje should desist from presiding over all affairs of the National Working Committee (NWC) of APC.

The State Working Committee of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Kano had announced the suspension of ward party leaders who earlier announced the suspension of Ganduje.
