Hold Akpabio, Bello, Ododo Responsible If Anything Happens to Me – Natasha

By Charles Maduka

Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, representing Kogi Central Senatorial District, has warned that if she or her supporters are attacked, Nigerians should hold Senate President Godswill Akpabio, Kogi State Governor Ahmed Ododo, and former Governor Yahaya Bello responsible.

She made this statement on Tuesday through a post on her official Facebook page.

“My dear people of Kogi Central, I look forward to our peaceful Sallah celebrations today. However, should we be met with or infiltrated by violence, Nigerians should hold Gov Òdodo, Yahaya Bello & SP Godswill Akpabio wholly responsible,” she wrote.

Her statement comes after she insisted on visiting her constituency for the Eid-el-Fitr celebrations and a planned rally, despite reports suggesting she had canceled the visit.

She assured her supporters that she had an official duty to fulfill as their representative and encouraged them to come out in large numbers to celebrate with her.

Meanwhile, the Kogi State Government recently banned rallies and public gatherings, citing security concerns. Commissioner for Information Kingsley Fanwo said the ban was necessary to prevent any security issues.

The Kogi State Police Command also warned Akpoti-Uduaghan to cancel her rally, stating that it goes against the government’s directive.

However, videos circulating on social media show large crowds, mainly women, gathering in anticipation of her return. A live feed shared by Kogi Senator Bashir Haroon showed supporters singing and drumming to welcome her.
