The Senior Pastor of Harvesters International Christian Centre, Bolaji Idowu, has announced a financial support scheme for unemployed members of the church, under which beneficiaries will receive N50,000 monthly for three months.
Idowu made the announcement during a church service, stating that the initiative is targeted at members who actively serve in the church but have lost their jobs or are currently between employment.
He explained that the support is aimed at helping affected members remain stable while they search for new job opportunities.
According to the pastor, the initiative will cover leaders and workers serving in various capacities within the church, noting that the church has a responsibility to support its members, particularly in difficult times.
Idowu further asked eligible members to register with the church administration, adding that there would be no rigorous screening process as the church already trusts those who serve regularly.
The announcement was greeted with applause from members of the congregation, many of whom described the gesture as a timely intervention to support unemployed workers within the church community.
