Gunmen rob six POS shops in Rivers

Gunmen have robbed Point of Sale (POS) shops at Rumuagholu area of Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers State.

The four armed robbers, who invaded the area at 11am on Thursday shooting into the air, also dispossessed residents of their valuables.

Residents said the entire area from T-junction to Road 2 area was thrown into panic.The gunshots were said to have alerted the police, who chased and forced them to abandon their vehicle along the Obiri-Ikwerre/Airport. The police were said to have captured two of them while two others fled into the bush
