Guber Poll: Sen. Tofowomo receives APC, SDP defectors into PDP in Ondo

The senator representing Ondo South Senatorial District of Ondo State, Nicholas Tofowomo, on Thursday, received some array of defectors from the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) and the Social Democratic Party (SDP) into the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) ahead of the governorship election in Ondo State on October 10, 2020.

Starnews Nigeria reports that the defectors, numbering about 150, joined the PDP at Ileoluji town, headquarters of Ileoluji/Okeigbo Local Government Area of Ondo State.

They were received into the party by the Senator alongside Mr. Elvis Akinfiresoye, the chairman of the PDP in Ileoluji/Okeigbo Local Government during a meeting of PDP stakeholders at Ileoluji town.

Notable faces at the meeting were, Sen. Nicholas Tofowomo, Dr. Lucas Gbakinro, Hon. Yetunde Dada, Dr. Tunde Ogunsusi, Chief Adebawore Agbakawodi and the PDP Ile-Oluji/Okeigbo Local Government Media personel, Otunba Isaiah Oyawale and Otunba Oluwapelumi Stephen Akinsiku.
