Failure of the Ghana Football Association( GFA) to provide adequate documents to defend itself seems to have landed the country in deep trouble with the World Soccer governing body.

Before the first leg of the final of the 2022 U17 Women World Cup qualifier between Ghana and Morocco, the North African team protested about the age falsification of players in the Black Maidens.

The Ghanaian federation removed the players from the team and won the game 2-0 but Morocco insisted on protesting on the matter.

Ghana was allowed to defend itself but failed to come out with concrete evidence.

The hammer of the FIFA disciplinary committee fell them, and the Ghana Women U17 team was banned from participating in the next two editions of the qualifier.

And from the ban, the federation was fined $100,000 for fielding ineligible players.

Meanwhile, FIFA has allowed GFA to appeal the judgement if they are not satisfied.

Morocco eventual qualified for the World cup alongside Tanzania and Nigeria.
