Female Biker Crushed to Death in Lagos

A female motorcyclist was tragically crushed to death by a truck on Monday morning in Lagos, according to the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA).

LASTMA spokesman, Adebayo Taofiq, confirmed the incident in a statement. He said the crash occurred at approximately 6:15 a.m. at Sifax, inward Iganmu Bridge.

“The truck driver lost control while in motion, and the truck fell on a female biker while descending Iganmu Bridge,” Taofiq explained. The speeding truck driver lost control, causing the truck to fall on the female biker.

Emergency responders, including LASTMA personnel and the LASEMA Response Unit (LRU), were called to the scene to recover the victim’s body, which was trapped under the truck.

The truck driver fled the scene after the accident.

The woman’s remains were taken away by the Lagos State Ambulance Service (LASAMBUS).
