Enugu LP Governorship Candidate Chijioke Edeoga Returns to PDP

Chief Chijioke Edeoga, who previously ran for governor of Enugu State under the Labour Party, has rejoined the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

His return was made official at the PDP Secretariat, where he pledged full support for Governor Peter Mbah’s administration.

Edeoga said his decision was influenced by the leadership style of Governor Mbah, which he described as bringing change and progress to the state.

He called for unity within the party, urging members to work together as they prepare for the 2027 elections.

Welcoming him back, the Enugu State PDP Chairman, Dr. Martin Chukwunwike, said Edeoga’s return shows that the governor’s leadership is attracting former members.

He also expressed confidence that more individuals who left the party would soon follow suit.

The Chairman of Isi-Uzo Local Government Area, Mr. Obiora Obegu, described Edeoga’s decision as a positive development for the party, stating that it would strengthen the PDP and create a more focused and united front.
