Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji, has dissolved the State Executive Council with immediate effect.
The dissolution was announced in a statement on Sunday by the Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Habibat Adubiaro. She directed all affected commissioners and special advisers to hand over to the permanent secretaries or the most senior civil servants in their respective ministries, departments, and agencies.
Governor Oyebanji thanked the outgoing officials for their contributions to the development of the state and wished them well in their future endeavours.
However, the dissolution did not affect some key members of the cabinet, including the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, the Commissioner for Health and Human Services, the Commissioner for Agriculture and Food Security, the Commissioner for Education, the Commissioner for Works, the Commissioner for Trade, Investment, Industry and Cooperatives, the Special Adviser on Special Education and Social Inclusion, and the Special Adviser on Lands, Survey and e-GIS.
Also retained were the Director-General of the Office of Transformation and Service Delivery, the Director-General of SDGs and Project Monitoring, and the Director-General of the Bureau of Public Procurement.
