[IT_EPOLL id=”1″][/IT_EPOLL]Ekiti State Police Commissioner, Akinwale Adeniran, has issued a plea to parents and guardians, urging them to counsel their children against engaging in behaviors that could disrupt the Eid-el-Fitr festivities or jeopardize the peace in the state.

The statement, conveyed by the command’s spokesperson, DSP Sunday Abutu, on Tuesday in Ado-Ekiti, relayed this message.

In his goodwill message to the Muslim community, the police commissioner assured the public of robust security measures during and after the celebrations.

He further directed area commanders, divisional police officers, and heads of tactical and intelligence units to bolster security preparations ahead of the Eid-el-Fitr celebration.

The police chief also directed his men to ensure the deployment of adequate operatives to all strategic points and places of celebrations across the state.

He implored the Muslim faithful to use the celebration period to pray for Nigeria’s peace, unity and progress.

The commissioner reaffirmed the command’s relentless efforts to rid the state of criminal elements and ensure maximum security of lives and property.

He stated that those found wanting would be made to face the full wrath of the law.

He implored everyone to be security conscious and vigilant and immediately report any incident or happenings observed in their locality to the nearest police station or call 08062335577.
