EFCC Operative Commits Suicide in Abuja

An operative of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) tragically took his own life at his residence in Abuja, the capital city of Nigeria.

The deceased, identified as a member of Course 5, was highly regarded for his diligence, efficiency, and humble demeanor.

A source at the EFCC headquarters expressed the collective shock of his colleagues: “The deceased was a diligent and efficient operative, known for his unassuming nature. His death has come as a shock to everyone at the EFCC.”

EFCC spokesperson Mr. Dele Oyewale confirmed that an investigation is currently underway to uncover the circumstances surrounding the suicide.

“An investigation is currently underway to determine the circumstances surrounding the suicide,” Mr. Oyewale stated.

He further mentioned that the Commission is examining various factors, including mental health and family challenges, that may have contributed to the operative’s depression and tragic decision.

The EFCC has withheld the operative’s name pending the conclusion of the investigation.
