The Edo State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has appointed Sylvester Aigboboh as the Acting Deputy State Chairman and Pedro Esangbedo as the Acting Vice Chairman for the Edo Central Senatorial District.
In a statement issued on Sunday by Acting State Chairman Jarret Tenebe and Secretary Lawrence Okah, it was confirmed that these appointments are effective immediately.
This development follows the elevation of Chief Jarret Tenebe from Deputy State Chairman to State Chairman, as well as the defection of Francis Inegbeniki, the former Vice Chairman for Edo Central, to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
The statement noted that Aigboboh and Esangbedo will hold their positions in an acting capacity until the party holds its next state congress.
Emphasizing the party’s constitutional provisions, the statement highlighted the importance of filling these roles with trustworthy individuals to maintain the smooth running of the party’s activities.
The new appointees are expected to work closely with State Chairman Emperor Jarret Tenebe and the party’s executive members to provide solid leadership ahead of preparations for the 2027 general elections.
