Delta SUBEB to train 1,250 teachers on jolly phonics

The Delta State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) in conjunction with the Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC) and Universal Learning Solutions Initiative (ULSI) to train 1,250 teachers in Public Primary Schools across the State on Jolly Phonics.

Prince Bolu Diesel AJIJO Anipr, Jolly Phonics Media Manager made this known in a statement signed and made available to newsmen on Wednesday.

The statement quoted the Executive Chairman of Delta State SUBEB, Samuel Mariere, said that the training would last for three days.

“The 3 -Day training will be attended by not less than 1,250 teachers across the Delta State.

” Meanwhile, the training is designed to make reading and writing easy and enjoyable for pupils in the Public Primary Schools in the state.

“And the training which is starting tomorrow Thursday 24th April through Saturday 26th April 2025 will specifically takes place in Asaba, Warri and Ughelli,” the statement read.
