Court grants man divorce after wife’s elopement

An area court in Jos, Plateau State, on Wednesday granted Luka Istifanus his divorce prayer on grounds that his wife Grace eloped.

The judge, Shawomi Bokkos , gave custody of the children to the Istafanus.

Earlier, before the divorce was granted, the petitioner told the court that they got married in 2006.

The father of four said his wife eloped.

He said he was at the court to seek the dissolution of the marriage to the respondent and to have custody of his children.
