Canadians To Enjoy Long Weekend In November 2023

Residents of Canada are likely to enjoy long weekends in November 2023, Starnews Nigeria has gathered.

According to IT Gujarat, there will be at least seven long weekends in Canada, but this will depend upon the area where you live and the day of the statutory holiday in the country

It was learnt there are weekends that last a minimum of three days, generally falling on a Friday or Monday. Similarly, when two days adjoining the weekend are holidays, the long weekend can last four days.

Talking about the long weekend in November, Starnews Nigeria gathered that those regions in which Remembrance Day is treated as a statutory holiday will get the long weekend from 11th November to 13th November, as the holiday falls on Saturday.

11/11/2023- Saturday (Remembrance Day).
12/11/2023- Sunday.
13/11/2023- Monday (Treated as a holiday as Remembrance Day falls on Saturday).

Hence, if the holiday falls on either Saturday or Sunday, the following Monday is treated as the statutory holiday. As you may know, Remembrance Day in Canada is an optional holiday in some provinces, hence, the long weekend in November will not be for everyone.

But they should not be disappointed and can plan their trip and holiday idea the next month as the long weekend in December is from 23 to 26.

23/11/2023- Saturday.

24/11/2023- Sunday..

25/11/2023- Monday (Christmas).

26/11/2023- Tuesday (Boxing Day).
