Just In: Tinubu Arrives In Benue Over Killings

President Bola Tinubu arrived in Makurdi, the capital of Benue State, on Tuesday afternoon for a visit to the Yelwata community in Guma Local Government Area, following recent deadly attacks in the region.

He touched down at the Nigerian Air Force Base in Makurdi around 12:58 pm and is scheduled to meet with key figures in the state.

The visit comes as part of efforts to address the security situation in parts of Benue where violence has caused several deaths.

In preparation for the visit, the Benue State Government declared a public holiday to allow residents to take part in activities connected to the President’s arrival.

The meeting with stakeholders is expected to focus on the way forward for restoring peace and supporting affected communities.
