BREAKING: PDP reportedly loses Ibrahim Mantu, another Political Gladiator to death

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has reportedly lost another Political Gladiator, Senator Ibrahim Mantu, to the cold hand of death, Starnews Nigeria has learnt.

He died at the age of 74 years old.

According to a Chieftain of the party who hinted at Starnews Nigeria in the early hour of Tuesday, he died at an undisclosed Hospital in Abuja between Monday night to Tuesday morning.

Mantu was born in Chanso village, Gindiri District, Mangu Local Government Area of Plateau State on February 16, 1947.

Starnews Nigeria reports that In 1999, Mantu was elected to the National Assembly as the Senator representing Plateau Central Senatorial district on the platform of the PDP.

He was appointed Chairman Senate Committee on Information, the position he held till August 10, 2001, when he was elected Deputy President of the Senate.

He was appointed Chairman of Joint National Assembly Constitution Review Committee from 2001 to 2003 and 2003 to 2007 respectively.

The news of his death is coming barely 24 hours after the party lose one of its Political Gladiators in Ondo State, Hon. Omolade Adedayo Expensive, the Lawmaker representing Akure South/Akure North in the Federal House of Representatives who passed away around 2 am on Monday.
