Breaking: Okunomo resigns from PDP, plans to exit with 15, 000 followers

Banji Okunomo, one of the governorship aspirants of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the just-concluded primaries in Ondo State, has resigned his membership of the PDP to join the Zenith Labour Party (ZLP) also known as third force ahead of the Ondo State governorship election on October 10, 2020.

Starnews Nigeria reports that Okunomo announced his resignation from the PDP at Domfav Hotel in Okitipupa Local Government Area of Ondo State on Monday.

According to him, he would officially leave the party with over 15, 000 members of the PDP across the 18 local governments of Ondo State during a formal declaration to be announced at a later date.
