Governor ‘Seyi Makinde of Oyo State has announced a shake-up in his cabinet, resulting in the redeployment of several commissioners.
The changes were confirmed in a letter released on Monday and signed by the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Otunba Segun Ogunwuyi.
As part of the reshuffle, Barr. Seun Ashamu, previously in charge of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, has been reassigned to oversee the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources. Meanwhile, Hon. Abdulmojeed Mogbonjubola, who formerly held the Environment portfolio, will now serve as Commissioner for Public Works, Infrastructure and Transport.
Prof. Dahud Shangodoyin, the former Commissioner for Public Works, is now assigned to the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources.
In the same vein, Prof. Solihu Adelabu, who was the Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, has been redeployed to the Ministry of Establishments and Training. His position will now be filled by Hon. Segun Olayiwola, who previously headed the Establishments ministry.
According to the letter, the new postings take effect immediately. Governor Makinde also urged the commissioners to continue serving the state with dedication and loyalty.
