BREAKING: Former PDP State Women Leader, Esther Ebiwonjumi Dumps Party In Ondo

The former state women leader of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ondo State, Hon. Ebiwonjumi Esther Omowumi JP, has resigned from the party.

In a resignation letter addressed to the PDP Chairman in Apoi Ward I, Igbekebo, in Ese Odo Local Government Area of Ondo State, Starnews NG reports that Ebiwonjumi expressed mixed feelings while announcing her decision to leave the party after 25 years of dedicated service.

She served in various positions in the PDP until her resignation on Saturday.

She was a former Vice Chairman of Ese Odo Local Government, a member of the CDC Committee under the leadership of the late Olusegun Agagu, and a former State Women Leader of the party for eight years and six months.

Starnews NG reports that she was the State Women Coordinator for the Goodluck/Sambo campaign in 2015, State Women Coordinator for Atiku/Obi campaign in 2019, and Atiku/Okowa campaign in 2023 respectively.

In her letter, she said, “I thank the party leaders for their support and guidance throughout my political career, which spanned over two decades. I appreciate the opportunities the party had given me to serve in various capacities including my work in promoting women’s empowerment and grassroots development. It is time for me to move on and explore new opportunities”, she added.
