Mr, Fadayomi Kehinde, a popular Herbalist in Ekiti reportedly slumped and died on Monday, January 2, 2023, while committing adultery with the wife of a Pastor in an undisclosed hotel in Ikere Ekiti, Ekiti State, Starnews Nigeria reports.

According to a report gathered by Starnews Nigeria, the alleged adulterous woman is an acclaimed Evangelist and wife of a white garment church in IKere town.

The woman raised the alarm after realising that the man collapsed while enjoying illegal sex. This attracted the attention of staff and the people at the hotel who rushed to the scene of the incident.

Starnews Nigeria reports that sympathizers including staff of the hotel rushed the victim (herbalist) to a nearby hospital where he was confirmed dead on arrival.

Some associates of the late native doctor who spoke under the condition of anonymity said the man died of ‘Magun’ popularly known as a thunderbolt. In Yoruba Land, “Magun” means a strong juju being used to trap and expose an adulterous married woman suspected by her husband to disgrace and killing the concubine shameful.

Some residents however disagreed with the conclusion on the cause of death by the deceased’s associates. They were of the view that it was God that displayed his anger. They said that was the consequence of sleeping with the wife of a true man of God. According to them, it would serve as a warning to other adulterous men and women in the town.

Meanwhile, Starnews Nigeria learnt that aggrieved supporters of the late herbalist were said to have stormed the woman’s husband’s church in anger to vandalize it with the belief that the cleric trapped her wife with “Magun” to expose her adulterous lifestyle which allegedly led to the cause of death of the deceased.

The Ekiti State PPRO, DSP Sunday Abutu, confirmed the incident in a telephone interview.

The police have commenced an investigation into the matter while the woman is currently held in Police custody to aid the investigation. The remains of the deceased have been deposited in the morgue of State Specialist Hospital in Ikere Ekiti, Ekiti State.
