BREAKING: Court Frees 313 suspected terrorists

No fewer than 313 suspected terrorists arrested by the military have been freed by a Federal High Court in Borno.

According to the court, their release was ordered for lack of evidence to nail the suspects after investigation.

Speaking during an operational briefing on Thursday, the Director, Defence Media Operations, Maj. Gen. Buba Edward, disclosed the development in Abuja, saying the released suspects would be handed over to Birno State government for further action.

He said, “The court ordered the release for want of evidence after the conclusion of investigation and other ancillary matters.

“Accordingly, they would be handed over to the Borno State Government for further action.”
