Borno Explosion: Suicide Bomber Kills 10 in Konduga Market

A deadly explosion rocked a fish market in Konduga Local Government Area of Borno State on Friday night, claiming the lives of at least 10 people.

The blast, believed to be carried out by a suicide bomber linked to Boko Haram, occurred when the attacker infiltrated the market disguised as a civilian and detonated an explosive device in the crowded area.

Security expert Zagazola Makama confirmed the incident in a post shared on X, stating that the explosion left 10 people dead and injured seven others.

The bomber was also killed in the explosion, according to the report.

Troops from the Nigerian Army and emergency responders were quickly deployed to the site to provide assistance, evacuate victims, and ensure medical treatment for the injured.

Authorities have since secured the area to prevent any potential follow-up attacks, with security operatives maintaining a strong presence to monitor the situation.
