Boko Haram Militants Attack Northern Cameroon Village, Kill Four

Suspected Boko Haram fighters launched a deadly assault on Sanda Wajiri, a remote village near Kolkata in northern Cameroon, leaving four people dead and causing widespread destruction.

As reported by Afripost, According to intelligence sources cited by Zagazola Makama, the attack occurred late Sunday night when armed insurgents stormed the village, firing indiscriminately.

Panic spread among residents as the gunmen opened fire, but some villagers resisted and managed to kill one of the attackers.

“They arrived at night, shooting everywhere. They burned down homes and food stores, leaving us with nothing,” a resident recounted.

“We lost four people, but we also fought back and killed one of them.”

During the raid, homes, food supplies, and essential belongings were set ablaze, worsening the humanitarian crisis in the region.

Survivors are now struggling without shelter or food, calling for urgent security reinforcements to prevent further attacks.

Boko Haram, which has been waging an insurgency in the Lake Chad region for over a decade, continues to launch cross-border assaults in Cameroon, Chad, and Niger, targeting civilians and security forces.

Authorities have yet to issue an official response to the latest attack.
