Bandits In Hijab Attack Police Post In Katsina

 

Bandits dressed in hijab reportedly attacked a police duty post and killed one police officer at Saki Jiki village, Batsari local government area of Katsina State late Thursday.

The state police spokesman, Abubakar Aliyu Sadiq, in a statement confirmed the incident, saying another police officer sustained injury in the attack.
Sadiq said the police were working on the situation at the duty post.

He said: “The officers responded bravely and successfully repelled the attack. However, one officer lost his life and another was injured as a result of the attack. Further development will be communicated in due course please.”

Batsari local government area has been experiencing renewed attacks recently, just within a week suspected bandits carried out successful two attacks in the area.
