Armed men invade Senator Natasha’s family house in Kogi

The family residence of Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan in Ihima, located in Okehi Local Government Area of Kogi State, was attacked by unidentified gunmen in the early hours of Tuesday.

According to eyewitnesses, the attackers—believed to be three men armed with machetes and firearms—arrived at the scene around 1:00 a.m., shattering windows and damaging parts of the structure.

The attack reportedly created panic in the community.

Yakubu Ovanja, the senator’s Chief Security Officer, quickly contacted the appropriate security forces, leading to the prompt arrival of officers from the Okehi Police Division.

As of now, no official explanation has been given for the attack, and Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan has not issued a public statement.

Senator Natasha, who represents Kogi Central in the Senate, has recently made headlines following a sexual harassment accusation directed at Senate President Godswill Akpabio.

Security sources, including information shared by Zagazola Makama, confirmed that the motive behind the assault remains unknown. Police authorities have launched an initial investigation and are actively working to identify and apprehend those responsible.

No injuries were recorded during the incident, and no suspects have been taken into custody at this time.
