The All Progressives Congress (APC) has condemned Peter Obi, the 2023 presidential candidate of the Labour Party, for his New Year message to Nigerians.

According to Politics Nigeria, the ruling party accused Obi of exploiting the opportunity to gain political advantage and spreading misleading information about the country’s current state.

Felix Morka, APC’s spokesperson, alleged that Obi was trying to incite public discontent against President Bola Tinubu, dismissing his remarks as unfounded. Morka emphasized that Nigeria has made notable economic strides under Tinubu’s leadership.

“Obi, like his counterparts in the PDP, is focused on spreading pessimism and attempting to stir dissatisfaction, knowing full well that Tinubu’s transformative policies are rendering them politically irrelevant,” Morka remarked.

He further highlighted that President Tinubu is working diligently to improve the nation’s economic outlook through his Renewed Hope Agenda. “We encourage Nigerians to stay hopeful, as brighter days are ahead,” Morka added.

The APC reiterated its dedication to driving the country towards growth and stability, urging citizens to disregard what it referred to as Obi’s divisive remarks.
