Army Airstrike Kills Bello Turji’s Top Ally

A close ally of notorious terrorist leader Bello Turji has been killed by the Nigerian Army during an air operation in Sokoto State.

The incident happened on Sunday, May 18, when the air component of Operation Fasin Yama launched a strike on a gathering of terrorists near Tunfa Primary School in Isa Local Government Area.

The man identified as Alhaji Shaudo Alku was among those killed in the strike.

He was reportedly invited from Niger Republic to attend a meeting with other terrorist figures when the military operation took place.

The airstrike targeted the location as part of an ongoing effort to weaken the network of armed groups causing unrest in the area.

Military sources confirmed that Alku was not the only casualty. Several other fighters and commanders also lost their lives in the strike.

The operation is said to be part of a wider plan to reduce the activities of terrorist groups operating in the region.
