Aiyedatiwa’s thank-you tour’ll strengthen grassroots support -Council chair

The Chairman of Ondo Northwest Local Council Development Area, Hon. Onidare Sunday Bukunmi (OSB), has commended the Ondo State Governor, Dr Lucky Aiyedatiwa, for embarking on a statewide thank-you tour.

He described it as a deliberate move to consolidate grassroots support and enhance people-oriented governance.

Bukunmi, in a statement made available to Weekend Hope, said the tour had brought government closer to the people, stressing that the governor’s engagement with residents at the community level had renewed confidence in the administration.

He also applauded Aiyedatiwa for securing the revalidation of the Deep Seaport licence, which he described as a critical economic breakthrough for the state.

According to him, the Deep Seaport project would position Ondo as a strategic maritime and industrial hub, create employment opportunities, attract investments and significantly boost the state’s revenue base.

The council chairman further praised the governor’s drive in executing major infrastructural projects across the state, particularly in roads, healthcare, education and others in key sectors.

Bukunmi assured the governor of continued support from the people of Ondo Northwest, noting that the LCDA would sustain grassroots mobilisation to ensure the success of the administration’s development agenda.
