Just In: Adeyemi College Of Education upgraded To University

A bill sponsored by Hon Abiola Makinde at the federal house of representative to upgrade Adeyemi College of Education to a federal university status gets presidential assent today 4th January 2022.

The bill was passed by the House of Representatives on October 13th, 2021, and got the concurrence of the Senate with the support of Senator Ayo Akinyelure (Ondo Central) who initially sponsored the bill at the Senate but President Muhammadu Buhari didn’t assent to it before the bill was later represented by Hon Makinde at the green chamber of the National Assembly.

Starnews Nigeria reports that earlier today, the news of the presidential assent was broadcasted on Hon Abiola Makinde Facebook handle, as “Adeyemi Federal university – signed. To God be the glory ‘’
