2027: Northern Leaders Push for Goodluck Jonathan’s Presidential Comeback

Momentum is building in the northern region for the return of former President Goodluck Jonathan as Nigeria’s leader in the 2027 election.

The Arewa Consensus for Jonathan, a political group from the north, has publicly joined the campaign, urging Jonathan to join the 2027 presidential race.

Speaking at a press conference in Bauchi over the weekend, the group’s leader, Munir Musa, highlighted the need for Jonathan’s experience to address Nigeria’s worsening economic and security crises. Musa argued that the nation requires Jonathan’s proven leadership to restore stability and tackle pressing challenges.

“Nigeria is at a critical crossroads, and we believe Goodluck Jonathan is best suited to guide the country through these difficult times,” Musa remarked.

He expressed confidence that Jonathan’s leadership could help heal the nation’s divisions and usher in a new phase of growth and stability.
