The Senate on Wednesday confirmed all seven ministerial nominees by the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari, (retd.) for screening and confirmation. The nominees for confirmation included Henry Ikechukwu Ikoh – Abia State; Umana Okon Umana – Akwa Ibom State; Ekumankama Joseph Nkama- Ebonyi State; and Goodluck Nanah Opiah – Imo State. Others are Umar Ibrahim El-Yakub – Kano State; Ademola Adewole Adegoroye – Ondo State; and Odum Udi – Rivers State. A Federal High Court in Abuja on Tuesday dismissed a fresh application for bail by the detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu.   This was just as the court refused to revoke a warrant of arrest issued against the IPOB leader on March 28, 2019 following his reported disappearance from Nigeria to unknown destination.   IPOB has, however, attributed the development to what it described as the body language of the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), who, it recalled, had ruled out bail option for its leader during his recent visit o Kigali, Rwanda.
