Buhari to unveil CBN, RIFAN mega rice pyramids in Abuja Tuesday
President Muhammadu Buhari will tomorrow unveil one million bags of rice paddy stacked as pyramids in Abuja. Considered to be the biggest of its type in Africa, the pyramids are located on the grounds of the Abuja Chamber of Commerce and Industries (ACCI) on Airport Road. The rice pyramids were built with 1 million bags of rice paddy planted and harvested from states across the country under the Anchor Borrowers’ Programme (ABP). The bags of rice paddy that formed the pyramids were recovered from farmers in lieu of cash to pay back for the loans they collected under the ABP.
Buhari, Osinbajo shun Twitter 72 hours after ending ban

NDLEA intercepts 1.5 million Tramadol tablets in-bound Kebbi, Kano, other drugs at Lagos airport, seaport
About 1.5 million tablets and capsules of pharmaceutical opioids such as Tramadol, Exol-5 and Diazepam loaded in Onitsha, Anambra State and heading to Yauri, Kebbi State have been intercepted in Edo State by operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, on Friday, January 14, same day 425,000 Diazepam tablets were recovered at Segemu, Kano. In addition, a total of N1,413,344, was seized along with arms and ammunition from a suspected bandit and a drug kingpin in Plateau State while over 137.754 kilogrammes of assorted illicit drugs were recovered during interdiction operations across seven states in the past week.

Benue motorcyclist rapes 13-year-old passenger, family demands justice
The family of a 13-year-old girl has demanded justice after she accused a motorcyclist, identified only as Ameh, of raping her in his friend’s room in Agbaha, Otukpa community, in the Ogadigbo Local Government Area of Benue State.
