2022 WAFCON: Ajibade, Ohale Make Team of the Group Stage

Following their amazing performance at the group stage, Nigeria’s Super Falcons duo of Rasheedat Ajibade and defender Osinachi Ohale have been named in the team of the group stage, Starnews reports

The group stage of the ongoing 2022 African Women Cup of Nations was concluded on Sunday and 8 teams have qualified for the quarter-final round.

African soccer ruling body on Monday evening released the team of the group stage and all teams were represented except Senegal who has no player in the team.

Nigeria winger Ajibade who has two goals featured alongside Ohale who won man of the match against Burundi was included.

South Africa, Morocco, Nigeria and Zambia have two representatives each while Cameroon, Botswana and Tunisia have one player each.

The quarter-final matches are scheduled to commence on Wednesday.
