2022/23 NPFL Season Starts In September

 

 

 

The League Management Company (LMC) has announced that the 2022/2023 Nigeria Professional Football League, NPFL season will kick-off on September 23, 2023.

 

LMC made this known in a planned schedule for off season activities of the Nigeria elite league which starts with Club Licensing from July to August, 2022.

 

In the proposed calendar for the new season, the league is expected to end on June 18, 2023.

 

The NPFL general assembly of the LMC and club owners will hold on September 16 just before the season commences.

 

The league will go on mid-season break after week 19 matches on 27-28 January, 2023.

 

Inspection of stadiums and facilities for the match venues will from August 27 through September 2022.

 

Rivers United won the 2021/2022 NPFL season after dethroning former champions, Akwa United.

 

The LMC announced tentative kick-off and ending dates for 2023/2024 season with commencement date slated for 20th August, 2023 and concluding date on May 19, 2024.
