FRSC decorates 7 new officers in Ondo

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) on Wednesday decorated the newly promoted seven officers in Ondo State Command to their new ranks. Mr Ahmed Hassan, the State Sector Commander, while decorating the officers in Akure, urged them to be diligent and follow the ethics of their job. 5 prospective NYSC members die in Abuja auto crash

No fewer than five prospective members of the National Youth Service Corps were feared dead when a vehicle conveying them to the North for the Batch B 2021 orientation course was involved in an auto crash in Abuja. Vanguard learnt that the tragedy happened around 2:00 am on Wednesday along the Abaji/Kwali axis of the ever-busy Abuja-Lokoja highway, causing a traffic gridlock that lasted for several hours. Though the details of the prospective corps members who were affected by the road mishap could not the ascertained as of the time filing this report, the NYSC management has confirmed the incident.

IPOB issues fresh ultimatum to FG, threatens mayhem over Kanu’s detention

The Indigenous People of Biafra has asked the Federal Government to release its leader, Nnamdi Kanu, on or before Sunday, August 8, 2021, threatening to enforce a total lockdown in the South-East geopolitical zone from Monday, August 9, 2021, if the ultimatum is not heeded.
