BREAKING: Suicide bomber explodes in Ebonyi
A suicide bomber was on Tuesday blown to pieces when a suicide vest he was wearing exploded on his body. The incident happened in Afikpo town, Afikpo local government area of Ebonyi state. A source in the area said the incident happened around 12noon. “He made an attempt at entering Amaizu/ Amangballa Primary School but was turned back by the school security since he couldn’t justify his reason for visiting. He immediately started running inside a nearby bush before a big bang was heard,” the source said. The source also said residents scampered for safety when the bomb exploded

Protest rocks Ondo Poly, workers seek Akeredolu’s actions
Academic, business and social activities have been grounded at Ondo state government-owned Rufus Giwa Polytechnic, Owo, RUGIPO, by protest of workers who are demanding payment of their accumulated salary arrears and promotions. The protecting staff of the institution who blocked all entrances into the campus, accused the management and governing council of the school for refusing to pay their salaries for over eight months and refusal to promote workers in the last three years. Biden to meet George Floyd’s family to mark one year since killing
US President Joe Biden is set to meet with the family of George Floyd, a black man whose death at the hands of police exactly one year ago spurred protests in the US and abroad. The White House announced that Floyd’s family would meet with Biden in Washington on Tuesday, the anniversary of Floyd’s killing, for which police officer Derek Chauvin was found guilty of second-degree murder. JUST IN: Another INEC office set ablaze in Enugu
Barely one week after the headquarters of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) was set ablaze in Enugu, the capital of Enugu State, another office of the commission in Igboeze South council area of the state, has been razed by hoodlums.
