2020 Poll: PDP leaders in Ondo East Endorse Okunomo for governor

Leaders of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), in Ondo East Local Government of Ondo State, on Thursday, endorsed Banji Okunomo for governor ahead of the gubernatorial election in Ondo State by October, this year.

The PDP leaders led by Hon Adeduro Charles endorsed Okunomo as their sole gubernatorial Aspirant at Bolorunduro town, headquarters of Ondo East Local Government of the state.

Starnews NG reports that Okunomo, a governorship aspirant of the PDP in Ondo State began a visit to the 18 Local Governments of the State on Tuesday, to consult and seek supports of leaders of his party (PDP), ahead of the party’s primary election this year.

In attendance were: Wole Akinduose, current local government party chairman of the PDP in Ondo East Local Government with other members of the executive of the party in the local government.

Mr. Wole Akinjo, Hon. Olu Falekulo, and Mr. Coasta Oladehin, among other notable leaders of the party in Ondo East were also at the meeting during the endorsement.

Adeduro who spoke on behalf of all the leaders of the PDP in the local government said that other governorship aspirants of the party may visit them to seek support which according to him is allowed, but he added, however, that Banji Okunomo, has been adopted as their sole governorship aspirant in a unanimous decision by all the leaders of the party in the local government.

Okunomo was full of appreciation in his acknowledgment of the endorsement. He however promised not to disappoint the people of the local government for their show of love towards him.
