A frontline Aspirant of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ondo State, Hon Banji Okunomo, popularly known as BBO, has promised to reward party delegates if elected the candidate of the PDP and eventually become the governor of Ondo State.

Starnews NG reports that Okunomo was one of the seven aspirants cleared by the Hon Yakubu Dogara screening committee to contest at the PDP primaries slated for July 22, 2020.

In a press briefing on Sunday in Okitipupa after meeting a large number of PDP delegates, Okunomo said he would give priority to delegates who would stand with him at the party’s primary.

On inquiry, Okunomo said: “I am one of those persons in previous political offices who have the good record of not abandoning people that worked for them one way or the other. I recalled when I became the chairman of my local government, one of my fundamental achievements was that I patronised those who supported me, apart from what I did for my people in Ilaje local government as a council chairman. Even those who didn’t support me benefited from my administration.”

“But let this be on the record, I will give priority to delegates and the people supporting me now at this critical period of PDP primary election when I emerge as the candidate of the party and become the governor of the State.”

”I will revolutionise the economic sector of Ondo State by ensuring that the economy is expanded. To achieve this, I will focus on creating an investor-driven state. For example, our part of the Atlantic Ocean which has been wasting away, especially, the coastline of which Ondo State has the longest in Africa, would be made more productive. Ondo State coastline which is bounded in the West by Lagos coastline is very much bigger than that of Lagos. A lot of potentials around the sea environment would be harnessed for the economic well-being of the people,” Okunomo added.
