You’ve failed, Akure Group Knocks Adesina for making headline over attack on Aiyedatiwa

Members of the Akure socio-cultural group, Oyemekun Development Union, have labelled Hon. Derin Abiodun Adesida, the representative for Akure South/Akure North federal constituency, as a failure, over his lack of accomplishments since assuming office in the National Assembly.

The group expressed disappointment in Hon. Adesida’s apparent absence from both legislative duties in Abuja and community engagements in Akure since his election.

Chief Dayo Akinola, speaking on behalf of the union, highlighted the representative’s conspicuous absence from significant events and his purported lack of contributions on the floor of the House of Representatives.

Adding fuel to the fire, Hon. Adesida made headlines for leading a group of fellow lawmakers in criticizing Governor Aiyedatiwa ahead of the forthcoming governorship election in Ondo State.

The group criticized the representative for prioritizing political squabbles over addressing the needs of his constituency.

Chief Akinola emphasized that the representative’s first publicized action in nearly a year since his election does little to serve the interests of Akure residents.

He questioned Hon. Adesida’s efficacy in securing palliatives for the constituency and denounced his involvement in what he termed a “senseless endeavor” of criticizing the governor.

Furthermore, the union warned Hon. Adesida to refrain from disrespectful actions towards the governor or face potential recall from the National Assembly.
