Why We Arrested Chef Dammy – Police

A student of the Federal University Oye-Ekiti, Damilola Adelarusi, famously known as Chef Dammy was on Friday invited for questioning by police.

She was invited by the Zone 17 command of the police force with headquarters in Akure, Ondo state capital following a petition allegedly filed against her by her pastor.

Confirming reports of her invitation, the spokesperson of AIG Zone 17, DSP Hakeem, said the police received a petition against Chef Dammy and she was subsequently invited.

He said Dammy honored the invitation on Friday November 23 and was thererafter granted administrative bail after providing a surety.

‘’She is not in our custody. She was not detained” he said

Recall that Chef Dammy came to limelight after she attempted to cook for 120 hours straight, days after Hilda Baci broke the Guinness World Record for the Longest Cooking Hours by an individual.

Dammy who had the backing of her pastor and church members, later fell out with him.

She went on to accuse him of threat to her life. The clergyman then filed a lawsuit against her, demanding that she retracts the threat to life allegation.
