Former Minister of Sports and Youth Development, Solomon Dalung, has declared that President Bola Tinubu will not win a second term in the 2027 general election, no matter who oversees the electoral process.
Dalung made this known on Friday during an interview on New Central, where he criticized the current administration for making life harder for Nigerians.
He accused the government of creating suffering through poverty, hunger, and hardship, while also promoting corruption and injustice.
He called on political leaders across opposition parties to unite under the newly formed coalition platform of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), which he described as a way forward for those determined to unseat the current government.
Dalung insisted that the 2027 election will be a tough one and expressed full confidence that Tinubu will be voted out, regardless of any influence or appointment within the electoral system.
He said that even if Tinubu’s relatives were to occupy top positions, including leadership of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), it would not save his administration from defeat.
The ADC, which has been revived as a platform for opposition figures ahead of the 2027 polls, has attracted a number of prominent politicians, including former governors, ministers, and lawmakers.
The party aims to build a strong alliance to challenge the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the next general election.
