Award-winning American rapper, Cardi B, has said that many of her female colleagues in the music industry dislike her because they feel threatened by her success and confidence.
Speaking in an interview with Apple Music’s Zane Lowe, the “Taki Taki” crooner declared that she sees herself as being ahead of most of her peers in the rap game.
“It’s something about me that these btches can’t stand. They can’t f**k with me. Some btches, I feel like they’re on this class right now, they’re sophomores, and I’m a senior,” she said.
The mother of two explained that instead of focusing on their craft, some female rappers spend more time taking shots at her in a bid to gain attention.
“I’m tired of other female rappers dragging me for clout. They should focus on their own careers,” she added.
Her comments come months after Nicki Minaj’s protégé, Bia, dissed Cardi B on Dreezy’s “B*tch Duh” remix, mocking her flow and recalling her emotional breakdown during an Instagram Live session where she accused her estranged husband, Offset, of deceit.
Cardi B had fired back in May on the remix of GloRilla and Megan Thee Stallion’s “Wanna Be,” daring Bia to repeat her words face-to-face.
The Bronx-born star, who has remained one of the most influential women in rap since her breakout hit “Bodak Yellow,” maintains that no amount of criticism will stop her from holding her place at the top of the rap scene.
