The Convener of the Arewa Think Tank Group, Muhammad Alhaji Yakubu, has praised the performance of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in office. He said that if you go to the Aso Rock Villa now, the place is like a market, and that it is the way democracy is supposed to be. He said this in a statement he made available to newsmen in Kaduna ahead of President Tinubu’s 100th day in office.

In the report which was made by Nigerian Tribune on Friday September 1, Yakubu said that Northerners do not have any moral grounds to accuse Tinubu of nepotism the way it was seen in the previous administration.

Yakubu appealed to Nigerians to cooperate with President Tinubu to achieve the goals he has for Nigerians, adding that the President has shown that he has good plans for the country.

He said – “If you go to the Villa now, it is like a market, that is how democracy should be, compared to what it used to be in the last eight years, and his level of humility in governance is exceptional.

“No Northerner should bring up this unjustified sentiment now because some of us spoke against Buhari when he was doing the nepotism thing. And he didn’t listen.”

Speaking further, he said that it is just 100 days into Tinubu’s administration and he has done exceptionally well. He said that they will not allow anybody to express such sentiment against Tinubu.
