Controversial social commentator, Verydarkman, has announced the recovery of ₦78 million out of the ₦180 million allegedly stolen from his NGO’s account.
According to Vanguard, this update comes just days after he raised an alarm on Instagram, claiming his organization’s account had been hacked and the funds stolen. The revelation sparked widespread skepticism, with many questioning the authenticity of his claims.
Providing an update on the situation via Instagram on Sunday, Verydarkman expressed gratitude for the progress made so far and outlined the next steps in the ongoing investigation.
“Thanks to everyone who reached out to check on me. I also want to thank God for the progress made: we’ve been able to recover ₦78 million,” he said.
He further revealed that the suspect involved claimed their accomplice had fled to Ghana. “The suspect pointed out that the person they worked with has escaped to Ghana. Hopefully, we’ll be heading to Ghana soon to continue the investigation,” he added.
The recovery process and subsequent developments have drawn significant public interest as the investigation unfolds.
