Veteran Gospel Actor Moses Korede Are ‘Baba Gbenro’ Laid to Rest in Oyo

Moses Korede Are, the veteran actor best known for his role as Baba Gbenro in the acclaimed Mount Zion series Abattoir, has been buried in Ogbomosho, Oyo State.

According to Vanguard, the funeral was shared through photos posted on X (formerly Twitter) by Zion Kulture, a Christian video podcast associated with Mount Zion Radio, on Friday.

Are, who was born on June 11, 1959, grew up in Kano State before continuing his education in Plateau State and completing his studies in southwestern Nigeria. He was the founder and International President of Calvary Movies Drama Ministry, based in Ogbomoso. The actor passed away in November 2024.
